TG folks from all over the country turned up to strut their stuff on the catwalk as they competed for the title of Miss TG Brighton. Perhaps more importantly they were there to raise money for the Martletts Hospice.
The night began at the petit, but well-equipped Lacies, owned by Sue the hard-working organizer of the event. This gem of a little shop almost had the Mayor buying chocolate body paint and fishnets (for a friend of course).
The main event took place at the Portland pub and within minutes of arriving the show was underway. The girls strutted their stuff and answered several probing questions from the panel.
The atmosphere was tense as they rolled out the entertainment at half time... belly-dancing, fire-eating and two different outfits... how do they do it? The daywear heat was hot on the heels of the performance, then a raffle, then the eveningwear heat, then some drinking, and finally they announced the winner... Phew!
A very different night out, it must be said. And all for charity, too!
