Cardiff Mardi Gras 2005 : Street Party...
review
Pride Sundays are often my favourite days. Everyone's chilled out, and if you're lucky, you get to attend a fab little street party with plenty of entertainment!
The first half was hosted by the completely mad Pixie Perez - dressed like Big Bird on Speed who subjected unfortunate passers-by to some light-hearted verbal and physical abuse.
Acts on stage included Copy Cats from Birmingham, Caroline Cooper (Charlotte Church's auntie), Dolly Diamond (the artist formerly known as Dolly Quicksand), Lola Lasagne (who took over the introductions later in the evening), a Kylie tribute act (who I mistakenly thought was Madonna... oh... the beers!) and Kitty Litter.
The party went on through the dusk and the until the gathered throng were suitably merry. A lovely way to finish the weekend!

about Lola Lasagne
|
The award-winning Lola Lasagne has long been a favourite cabaret performer in London and Brighton. Although it's obviously a drag queen's prerogative not to reveal specifics - let's just say it has been more than a decade and less than a lifetime! The next Lola Lasagne date for your diary:
Friday, 16th May
Midlands Mayhem @ Village Inn, Birmingham
