Cardiff Mardi Gras 2005 : Friday Night...
review
Well, it's September and the pride season is over... almost! Just one more weekend of fun to be had up here in Cardiff before we pack up the vest-tops and pull out the pullies.
After polishing off a few bottles of wine at the flat we headed out to the bars. The Golden Cross was busy, but will no doubt be busier in the coming days with the street party that's planned outside. After a quick drink we headed over to the relatively new Icon - a bar that has sprung up since last Pride where the old Metropolis restaurant used to be. After being told what to do with my glowsticks by a very beefy looking rugby player (I don't even know where the bloody things came from but they were getting me into trouble so I ditched them), we went on to our final destination for the night, Exit.
Being a Friday night and being Pride weekend you'd forgive the club for upping the entry fee a bit to cash in on the whole thing, but no! Unbelievably, just £3 to get in!
