Get over it!Wednesday, 27 February 2008 Taking the piss is so yesterday as Stonewall takes on the bullies. In support of the nationwide Anti Bullying Week - Stonewall's campaign is as visually striking as it hopes to be effective. Developed with the help secondary school students, Stonewalls Education For All will campaign to tackle homophobia and homophobic bullying in schools. Something we can all relate to. your commentscomment 2 said by wildblood on Wednesday, 27 February 2008, 12:45pm Loving the posters all over town. Standing at the bus stop starring at the billboard in front of me on Queens Park Road felt real lovely. comment 3 said by Huw on Friday, 7 March 2008, 1:48pm I hadn't heard of this campaign until I saw one of the posters from the train going through South London. It did give me a warm glow to see such a public message. I think it will help a lot of gay people who aren't "out" to the whole world to feel more positive about themselves.

So how realistic is this? Are there any students out there happy to go with this campaign or does a poster just spell out a wish that will never come true?
I was outside a certain secondary school earlier this week picking up a freind's daughter and was not surprised to hear the usual refrain of "you're so gay!" shouted out as a form of derision.
To come out at school must be the hardest thing and something I'm not sure I would ever have been brave enough to do - be it in the 80's when at school myself or now in the supposedly enlightened 21st century.
